About John W. King D.D.S. Orthodontics

Most of our employees have worked with Dr. King for a number of years. We believe in a team approach to treatment and excellence is always our goal. Each staff member attends continuing education courses annually in order to provide state-of-the-art treatment and the maximum in care for our patients. Collectively, our staff has treated thousands of patients over the years, but the most important aspect of treatment is the care and concern for each individual patient. Our practice specializes in metal and clear braces, invisalign, early orthodontic treatment, and jaw surgery.

 

Dr. John King has practiced in the Chesterfield community for over 20 years and received most of his education in Virginia. He first attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and Gettysburg College. Later, he graduated from the Medical College of Virginia as a Doctor of Dental Surgery. After acquiring his certification as an orthodontist from the Medical College of Virginia, Dr. King continued on to earn his Board Certification in 1989.

 

Being an active member in the Brandermill Rotary Club, Dr. King stays involved with many community activities and supports numerous school functions and PTA organizations in the surrounding area (including Manchester, Clover Hill, Cosby, and Monacan High Schools, as well as Tomahawk Creek, Swift Creek, Bailey Bridge, and Manchester Middle Schools). Dr. King, having an extensive education, believes in continuing education as a lifelong endeavor. As an expert in the field of distraction osteogenesis, a bone growth technique, Dr. King has authored articles for national and international orthodontic journals and frequently lectures at professional meetings. He, his wife, Donna and their daughter Lillie, live in the Woodlake community. Lillie attends Kindergarten at St. Catherine’s School.   Dr. King and his family enjoy activities such as skiing, ice skating, jogging and watching Lillie’s gymnastics.
